Of all the activities (aside from painting) that would amuse my little for hours is playing with the water. So whenever I wanted to keep him busy because Mama has to do a lot of things in the kitchen, I would just set-up my Montessori activities for him and let him play for as long as he likes.
Here are the things that we did so far:
PLAYING WITH ICE.
What he learned:
- Vocabulary words like ice, melting and cold
PUMPING WATER
What he learned:
- Vocabulary words like press and pump
- Applying force on the pump to get the water out
WATER TRANSFER USING A SPONGE
What he learned from this activity:
- Vocabularies like squeeze, absorb, press and sponge
- Learns that a sponge can absorb liquid
- Learns that there are other ways we can transfer water aside from pouring.
