A daily activity that my son and I do is counting objects. Whenever he read a book or watches a video or even do paintings or drawings I would often ask him how many objects there is. This way he’ll get used to counting in number sequence.
An additional activity is this activity. Again, this activity is mostly done by homeschool moms I came across the net, and yet that’s where I got this idea. It’s basically a Do-A-Dot activity but since I don’t have one.. yet, I am currently using Crayola’s Stamp Markers to mark the drawings that we are counting. It’s pretty simple, using a paper, I would draw one object and write the corresponding number symbol on the right. I draw a line to separate each numbers. Then Mavi and I would count the object while he stamps them and then I would point out to the number symbol that represents the object.
Mavi loves it! At first I only showed him two sets, but he kept asking for more.
