Happy 7 Months!

We celebrated Maverick's 7month birthday last friday at Shakey's. Lolo, Lola and my brother's family was there to celebrate my Mavilicious birthday. Oh, did I mention that my little boy now got his 4 front teeth!! Yup, they emerged a few weeks ago, and I hope that his feeding will be back to normal. He doesn't drink milk that much, but boy oh boy, he has this huge appetite for solids.

Maverick at 7 months

Our little boy is not so little already. Maybe I should stop calling him "my little boy", he is such a big boy na! He's way too big for his age and he is getting so gwapito day by day. Sometimes I feel like I look like his Yaya. That's why I make sure na high maintenance ang beauty ko.

Yannah and Maverick

Take a look at them both, Maverick at 2 months. He looks like a smurf isn't he? I would often wonder how he would look like when he grows, when all the features matured. Thank goodness, my boy turns out to be as cute as his Mama and as handsome as his Papa, in short, Maverick is turning out to be a handsome young lad.

Maviboy is a happy baby!

Take a look at him now, still with his Ate Yanna. Aren't they the cutest?? They always celebrate birthdays together.

With Ate Yannah again

The two kids will be the best of friends. Yanna loves Mavi so much. Every time she sees Mavi, she calls him by name and gives him a kiss and a hug. While Mavi is always perked by Yannah. Marinig nya lang bosses ng Ate Yan nya, kinikilig na sya at gusto nang makipaglaro. Dyahe lang when he is asleep and Yanna would call him, kasi gigising talaga sya.

We love the pool!

Here's a picture of Maverick and Yannah taking a bath outside the house. Haaay, buti pa sila, walang problema sa buhay. Ang sarap maging bata.

Happy happy birthday Mavi! Mama and Papa loves you to the 100th power.

Busy With Family Reunions

Lola Sefa and Tita Army were in Bacolod from New Jersey for a short vacation. We were invited to have a little salo salo at Mambucal Resort with the rest of our relatives from Valladolid. Mambucal is a mountain resort in Negros, located at the foot of Mt. Kanlaon. It's an hour drive away from Bacolod City.

We're almost complete, except for Mavi's daddy who's working abroad. This is the second time my little boy went to Mambucal, the first one was last December when his Mamita Arlene was also in town.

Look at my boy, eating lechon for the first time! He reall enjoyed his lechon, umiiyak sya pag kinukuha na sa kanya. The boy knows exactly what he wants, and would arch crying when he can't have what he wants.

And of course, what's the purpose of going to Mambucak without having a dip in the pool? Mavi has to wear his surfer clothes kasi napakalamig dito sa Mambucal.

Then before my Lola and Tita went back to NJ, we have a litte farewell lunch at Valladolid. The last time I was here was 2 years ago. My Lola's house is far more different than the old one. It looked like an ancestral house before, ngayon modernized na. they renovated the place, especially their huge kitchen.

I will surely miss them, haaay, kelan naman ang balik kaya nila?? Valladolid always reminds me of a good and fun childhood, dito kami nagspend ng summer vacation ng brother ko so super close talaga ako dito sa mga Aunts/Uncles ko. This made my vacation in Bacolod worth-it, seeing my relatives in Valladolid again.

Till then!

Sa Lugar Lang

Two weeks ago, I took Maverick for his first jeepney ride. I myself have never commuted for quite a long time.. So one day, together with my helper, we took Mavi out for his jeepney experience.

Joy ride lang ito, we don't really have a destination. Last February 14 kasi, I had a date with a very special friend aka Saphira Gayol, and I only commuted. While riding, I imagined having Maverick with me. He would love and enjoy the view of Bacolod with all these people and the noises the cars were creating.

Kaya eto si little boy ko... sympre sabi ng Daddy, I have to make sure na walang sakit ang ibang pasahero, baka daw mahawa si little Binoy. Well so far, wala naman.

Look at my little boy, so quiet and behaved. He's not like this when he rides his Lolo's vhroom vhroom. He is busy observing the people inside the jeepney, and his new environment.

** Sa lugar lang is Ilonggo's version of "para boss"

Happy 6 Months Liit!

My not-so-little boy Maverick celebrated his 6-months birthday 3 times!

How did it happen?

Well, first, I saw this cute little cake in one of the pastries store in town. I was craving for something sweet that day so I bought the cake. I didn't eat it, I just stared at it. Then came February 27, Maverick's monthly birthday. Since I didn't have a cake for him yet, eto nalang nilagyan ko ng candle for him to blow for the celebration.

Daddy Alvin complained why I bought a small cake for his little boy. I told him hindi nya cake yan, cake ko yan, for me to eat na hindi ko naman kinain and ended up sa tummy ni Lola Merlit hehehe.

That same day, we went to Mavi's Lola Precy's house to celebrate her 56th birthday. That why I postponed his monthly celebration because we had dinner somewhere else. As you can see on the picture, naki blow rin si Mavi ng candle sa cake ng Lola Precy nya and with matching cousins and kiddie friends pa to greet him hehehe.

Then, as planned, we have another simple celebration sa house the next day. As always, present ang special spag ni Mama Jarmz and a birthday cake for Mavi. Kaya eto, siguro litong lito ang baby boy ko kung bakit nag blow sya ng candle three times hehehe.

Happy birthday Liit! We call him Liit kasi sya ang smallest sa family namin.

I can believe I survive taking good care of Mavi for 6months, 24/7, co-sleeping since birth, at walang tumutulong gumising sa gabi to help me. I did all the pagpupuyat by myself. Grabe, 6months na ba? Parang kelan lang. Imagine raising up a little boy without his Dad. It was really hard for me.

What's my secret why I survive?

Prayers. And no matter how bad things may seem at times, I always told myself that it will pass. I tried to focus on life's little treasures instead on life's problems. Watching Mavi grow is the biggest reward of all.

And when he keeps me awake at night with his cries and if he just wanted to play, I am thanking God that my little son is still alive, vibrant and healthy. I tried not to complain. I am just thankful that our dear Lord is giving an additional life that is.

Happy 6-months anak. Mama and Papa loves you.
