My notes on Mavi's homeschooling for Week 12

PS. For grammar/typographical error... please spare me. I make my Mavi post/documentations usually at midnight when everyone is asleep. And having a day filled with chores, playing the role of a teacher, a cook, a nurse, a doctor and a wife... I'm close to passing-out at the end of the day. So really, I have time to proof read.
We did "mountains" for this week.
Supposedly, I wanted to stack crumpled paper to form a mountain and make Mavi paint it with green. But since I was not able to prepare materials for this week, I settled for the pasting activity.
I draw big and small mountains from a green colored paper and cut it out for Mavi to paste on the drawing board.
Before I used to paste the paper by myself, but I was thinking that he's old enough to do that, so I made him apply the paste on the paper all by himself. And much to my surprise, he knows how to do it! He's very meticulous. I am so happy that he's getting better on this skill.
See how he applies the paste on the paper below. Isn't his hand so cute?
He keeps on smiling to me every time he finishes one paper.
Now, to make him fully understand what a mountain is ... I sang to him the song "The Bear Went Over the Mountain". I took his little bear and put it on the tip of our tallest mountain while singing the song.
He got so excited and took the little bear from me. He tried to hug and kiss it. I told him to put the bear on the mountain so we can sing the song together.
We did the same activity as of Week 11. For letter L(l) we did the lacing card and the color/tracing activity sheet.
With the activity sheet below, Mavi is introduced to words, objects or animals that starts with letter L.
I added another activity for the letter L, this one is the letter puzzle. I made it myself hehehe. It's as easy as 1 2 3. I wrote the letter on a piece of cardboard paper and cut it in different angles so it can be made as a puzzle.
As seen below, I made Mavi form the letter L using these two cut-out shapes. Though it looked like a letter L, he still made an effort to form the letter L :-) In his eyes, it's the letter L hehehe.

The number for this week is number 12. We had this counting book, the only counting book that we owned hehehe and I use this to teach Mavi how to count and identify number symbols. I love this book because it has a lot of pictures in it that encourages the reader to count.
For example, number 2. It will show 2 sea animals in one page, and on the other, it will show multiple sets of two for the readers to count. The idea of this books is repetition and I have to thank this book because Mavi now knows "how" to count... not just identify numbers or reciting it. He now counts. As in counting his fingers, toys... everything!
A long long time ago, I made these teddy bears with shapes and colors in it. I made these for matching shapes and colors. This were kept in a box and I totally forgot about them. One time I was organizing my stuff, I saw them and I just had to use it! So for our color/shapes day... we played these teddy matching cards.
For our activity, I laid one pair of each shapes on the table. I would show Mavi one teddy bear and ask him to pick the teddy bear that matches my teddy bear. Of course he got the perfect score hehehe... he has no problem learning shapes... my problem is the matching/identifying of colors. But that deserves another post.
And to conclude this post, for our activity this week, I made him form a LION using the letter L. I took this paper craft from here. I just printed it out from a piece of cardboard paper and color some parts of the lion's face.
So that's it folks!!
