Dearest Mavi,
Your 4th month of life, has been an incredible battle for Mommy and the mother nature. You've suffered severe eczema, then hindi ka nagdede and later on, we discovered that you have some bacteria on your throat. Too painful siguro for you to suck, and then you developed some flu, and Mommy's to blame kasi nahawa ka ata sa akin.
But of course, hindi sumuko si Mommy. I watched you like a hawk since then, religiously giving you your medicines, making sure that you're always moisturized and monitoring your condition/temperature. It was really difficult and tiring, but I have no complains. I love you so much baby, and Mommy will do everything to make you safe and well.
After three weeks of battle, you were finally back to normal, feeding every 3 hours again, and your energy level was back to normal too. You have transformed into this mellow buddha baby to nonstop, inquisitive, energetic, ever curious and playful baby!
Now, you are not satistified sitting on Mama's lap anymore. You are playing, rolling around everywhere, sitting, jumping, squirming forward, crawling, making high pitched screams, shrieking to get Mama's attention, non-stop babbling of "babababa" and "dadada", you even sleep like a helicopter, you always smile and you don't cry a lot na! You are such a happy baby. I bet, when Daddy's around already, mas magiging happy ka.
On the brighter side, our paed has finally given us a "go" signal for solid foods, and he suggested rice cereals first for a week, then banana. One solid per week, 2 tablespoon a day to give in the morning and of course with the same amount of milk.
For weeks you were so adamant about eating, always staring at us while we eat at the dinner table. So when you turned 5mons old, I gave you your rice cereal.
I woke up early that day, so I can personally cook your meal. Then I mashed it on your plate, I placed you in your stroller and then you eagerly ate your first rice cereal. You did very well, your spit out reflex was completely gone. After eating your cereal, I was surprise to see you beg for more! Of course, limited pa lang ang solid mo, so I have to give you your milk.
You and I have been spending a lot of time, trying to play with you, teach you a lot of things, showing you the world, and singing you songs.
I am looking forward for the next few weeks to come, as you will be turning 6mons old. Time flies so fast my little dear. But I am so lucky, that I have this opportunity to spend every minute of every day to be with you, and show you how much I love you. And eventhough Daddy is soo far away, he's thinking you too every day, and loves you, longs for you.
Love,
Mumma
