I almost forgot to post about this activity week we did last month before we took a little vacation. Thanks to the photos that I have taken during our activity, it's a lot easier to remember what happened during this week.
So here's what Maverick learned for our Week 10 session.
MONDAY
Theme: Train
The theme for the week was TRAIN. For this theme, I cut out stickers of different shapes and sizes so Maverick and I can form trains out of it.
Everytime he sees a paper, he'll get so excited knowing that we are about to "play". He loves playing, either on the outdoor or during our lessons at home. He now knows how to associate the word "play" with homeschool and everytime he sees a park. And he can articulate the word very well!
And here's our finished product. Mavi did the red and blue train. I would hand him the stickers and would tell him where to paste it.
He enjoyed doing this activity and was so happy to show his work to his Dad! With this activity, he learned that he can form a train out of different shapes. Plus, his "gluing" skills is getting better and better!
TUESDAY
Shape: Black
Thanks to Dr. Seuss book Hop on Pop and Go Dogs Go!, Maverick was able to learn the colors brown, black and white. So even before I introduced to him the black color, he can already identify it.
WEDNESDAY
Letter: J
I tried not to follow the activities in the Letter of the Week when it comes to introducing letters because Mavi is now familiar with all the 26 alphabets. In fact he can sing his ABC song already. So what I did this time, is to introduce words and things that start with the letter "J".
It's easier to teach kids about letters and words that he can immediately associate with his daily activity or part of his lifestyle.
THURSDAY
Number: 10, Ten
No activity for numbers. We just count the sea animals on his counting book, that's from1 to 12.
FRIDAY
Nursery Rhyme:
I read to him his sleeping rhymes.
I read to him his sleeping rhymes.

We played with the Play Doh again. This time, Maverick is pretending that he's making a cookie. He's beginning to show signs that he can play by himself. But with a Play Doh I need to supervise since he tends to put things on his mouth.
So while I rest, I keep my eyes on him while he pretends to cook hehehe. This activity needs to have a separate post though!
Well, that's it for Week 10! I still hope to survive till the end. It's quite a lot of work, dedication and patience to homeschool a little toddler boy, but it's his right to learn and I have to feed his hunger for learning as much as we can (sayang ang brains hehe).
